Edinburg - Valente Betancourt 63, passed away on Sunday, October 5,2025 at DHR Hospital in Edinburg. He was born on September 27,1962 to Jose and Isabel Betancourt in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Mr. Betancourt was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is proceeded in death by his parents Jose and Isabel Betancourt, brother Jose Betancourt and sisters Emilia and Inez Betancourt. He is also survived by his Friend Sandra Lara, children Elik (Esteban) Betancourt, Valente (Brenda) Betancourt Jr., and Manny Sanchez, Sarah Salinas, brothers and sisters Oscar (Matilde) Betancourt, Juan (Nidia) Betancourt, Carmen Betancourt, Maria (Juventino) Compean, Cristina Betancourt, and Josefina (Ramon) Betancourt. Arcelia Betancourt two grandkids Ezequiel Balderas and Dariel Betancourt. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 7,2025 from 4pm to 9pm at Amador Funeral Home 1201 E. Ferguson Ave in Pharr. The family will have a prayer service at 7pm that same evening. Cremation will take place on Wednesday, October 8,2025 at Val Verde Crematory in Donna. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dimas L. Amador- Funeral Director at Amador Funeral Home in Pharr.
