Pharr - Maria Cortez 88, passed away on Sunday, January 28,2024 at Mid Valley Nursing Home in Mercedes. She was born on October 15,1936 to Pablo and Guadalupe Cortez in Comal,Texas. She is survived buy her Sons Jose and Orlando Hernandez, Daughter Sylvia Hernandez and 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 30,2024 from 4pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Amador Funeral Home - The Lord's Chapel in Pharr. A Chapel service will  be held on Wednesday, January 31,2024 at 10am at Amador Funeral Home in Pharr. Burial will follow at San Juan Cemetery in San Juan. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Amador Funeral Home in Pharr.
