Weslaco - Jose Mauro Salazar-Chapa 75, passed away on Tuesday, November 26,2024 at his residence in Weslaco. He was born on January 15,1949 to Matias and Maria Elena Salazar. He is survived by his Wife Maria Elsa Salazar, Sons Juan de Jesus Salazar and Jose Mauro Salazar Jr., Daughters Gabriela Salazar, Karla Patricia Gonzalez, Rocio Aide Salazar, Mayte Salazar and Rocio Flores, Brothers Matias and Jorge Salazar, Sister Magdalena Cavazos, 28 Grandchildren and 25 Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Abel and Nate Salinas, Chris Flores, Mark Salazar, Angel and George Gonzalez. Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 1,2024 from 3pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Amador Funeral Home 213 W. Santa Rosa Ave in Edcouch. A chapel service will be held on Monday, December 2,2024 at 10am at St. Martin Catholic Church in Weslaco. Burial will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery in Weslaco. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dimas L. Amador - Funeral Director at Amador Funeral Home in Edcouch.
