San Juan - Homero Paz Quiroz 87, gained his wings on Sunday, June 22,2025 after a long illness. He was born on March 23,1938 to Anselmo and Amalia Quiroz in Linares, Mexico. He was a graduate of the PSJA High School class of 1958. Homero was a proud veteran, who dedicated 20 years to serving his country in the Air Force with rank E-6. He is proceeded by his only child Homerito Pablo Quiroz, his parents Anselmo and Amalia Quiroz, his sister Guadalupe Ubias and Elia P. Quiroz and his niece Cynthia Quiroz Vela. Homero is survived by the love of his life Diamantina D. Quiroz who cared for him until God called him home, his siblings Hector (Yolanda) Quiroz, Maria Q. (Lee) Gonzalez, Juan (Bertha) Quiroz, Jesus (Sandra) Quiroz, Anselmo "Sam" Quiroz and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 24,2025 from 5pm to 9pm at Amador Funeral Home 1201 E. Ferguson Ave in Pharr. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 25,2025 at 12noon at Amador Funeral Home in Pharr. Burial will follow with military honors at Palm Valley Cemetery in Pharr. Pallbearers will be his nephews Lee, Aaron, and Eric Gonzalez, Michael Quiroz, Danny Quiroz and Johnny Quiroz. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Jesus and Maria de la Luz Ramirez, Pastor Richardson, Paster Clark Ortiz, Chaplin Nathaniel and all their neighbors. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dimas L. Amador-Funeral Director at Amador Funeral Home in Pharr.
