Hector Garza 75, of Santa Rosa, Texas was called home to be with our Lord Peacefully on Saturday, August 31,2024 surrounded by family. Hector was born to Guadalupe and Carmen Garza on November 18,1948 in Harlingen,Texas.He graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1967 and shortly after served in the Vietnam War. Upon his return he met and married the woman who fulfilled his life with happiness and love San Juanita Prado Garza. He later graduated from Pan American College and got a degree in Education. He was a beloved educator for 30 years at Santa Rosa ISD and spend most of his teaching career at La Villa ISD. Within those years he and Juanita raised a family of three remarkable children, filling their hearts with joy and love. Hector enjoyed spending his time working and restoring on his cars, he enjoyed fishing with his grandsons. His biggest joy in life were his grandchildren Nicholas, Nathan, Noah and Nevin. Hector also spends his last three years with his beloved dog Bella. Hector is proceeded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Carmen Garza, Brother Guadalupe Garza Jr. He is survived by his Wife San Juanita Garza, Son Gary (Norma) Garza, Daughters Melissa Garza and Teri (Raul) Gonzalez, Brother Alfredo Garza, Sisters Juanita Gonzalez, Minerva Perez, Carmelita Garza, Adriana Hinojosa Vassberg, Grandchildren Nicholas and Nathan Trevino, Noah and Nevin Gonzalez. Pallbearers will be Nicholas and Nathan Trevino, Gary Garza, Raul Gonzalez, Jose Flores, Adrian Garza, Monico Prado, Felix Hinojosa and Honorary Pallbearers Noah and Nevin Gonzalez. Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 5,2024 from 4pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Amador Funeral Home 213 W. Santa Rosa Ave in Edcouch. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 6,2024 at 10am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Santa Rosa and burial will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Amador Funeral Home - Dimas L. Amador Funeral Director, 213 W. Santa Rosa Ave in Edcouch, Texas.
