Alamo - Gabriel Elizalde 84, It is with profound sadness that the family of Gabriel Elizalde announce his peaceful passing on June 11,2024 at DHR Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gabriel was born on March 24,1940 i Alamo, Texas where he spends most of his years. Throughout his life he was known for his hard work, love, dedication and passion for helping others. But more than anything Gabriel was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and sharing stories reminiscing of his past, fishing, taking trips to casinos, watching his favorite western movies and listening to music. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement no matter what challenges they faced. In addition to his parents Alcario and Flora Elizalde and siblings he is proceeded in death by his son Jaime Elizalde .Gabriel is survived by his loving Wife Rosa Maria Elizalde of 63 years, his children daughter in law Delia Elizalde, Javier Elizalde, Chriselda (John) Stevenson, Alexandra (Valentin) Diaz, Gabriel (Lisa) Elizalde Jr., and his grandchildren Krystal ( Joel) Garcia, Christopher Elizalde, Michael (Clarissa) Elizalde, Abigail Stevenson, Heather - Anne Stevenson, Dominique Diaz, Alexander Diaz, Valeria Diaz and Matthew Elizalde. His great-grandchildren Joel Elizalde Garcia, Julia Elizalde, Liam Elizalde and numerous nieces and nephews. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Amador Funeral Home 1201 E. Ferguson Ave in Pharr. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 14,2024 at 2pm at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo and interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in San Juan, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Amador Funeral Home in Pharr.
